WSP Materials Pickup Day: August 31, 12:00–6:00pm

As we prepare to start our school year together with distance learning on Tuesday, September 1, our teachers are preparing materials for every student to support learning at home.

I am writing with details of how you can pick these items next week on Monday, August 31 from noon until 6 pm.

Your class teacher will send you an email no later than this week with details regarding what materials your child will need at home for distance learning including what materials the school will provide as part of the materials pickup day.

Materials pickup is scheduled to take place on Monday, August 31, from noon-6:00pm in the front driveway of the school.
Members of our Faculty and Administration will be outside to facilitate pick up.

Please arrive by car if possible. Cars will enter the driveway through the Winebiddle entrance and exit onto Coral Street.

There will be two stops for pick up. At the first stop, you will tell a staff member your child's name and class. At the second stop, your items will be placed on a table for you to pick up. We will not be directly handing materials to anyone. This is in an effort to practice social distancing.

If you walk to pick up materials from the school, you will follow the same stopping points as cars.

Some grades teachers are scheduling in-person orientations on Monday. If you and your child are scheduled for an in-person orientation, please park on the street and walk to the front entrance of the school. There you will have your temperature checked and be required to wear a mask or face covering prior to entering the building. You will receive your child's materials during your orientation. When your orientation is over, please exit the building through the courtyard door. Unfortunately, students and parents who do not have a scheduled appointment with their teachers will not be allowed in the building at this time.

We are excited to start the school year together and want to thank our community for your support and cooperation during this challenging time. By working together, we know the start of the school year will be filled with the enthusiasm and delight in learning which we experience each new year.

We look forward to seeing you soon whether it is through your car window or for an individual orientation!

Sincerely,

Kirsten Christopherson-Clark

Head of School

This year, every student will receive a WSP pencil case which will be included in each individual student bag!
