Welcome New 2020–21 Faculty and Staff
We wish to welcome three new employees to our WSP Team this fall!
Fleming Davis comes to us with eight years of professional cleaning experience, one of which was this past year as a member of our former cleaning company. On occasion last year, Fleming was a substitute driver on one of our bus routes — quickly becoming among our students’ favorite drivers. We are thrilled to introduce him as our full-time janitor beginning in August. Fleming is the proud father of an infant son who is still too young for our programming, but we look forward to him joining our student body in the years to come!
Brigitte Ryan stepped into the role of Rosebud Lead Teacher this month after Miss Cindy needed to resign due to family obligations. Brigitte worked with a small initiative Waldorf school in the lower east side of Manhattan before moving to Pittsburgh last year. While at New Amsterdam School, she worked as an Aftercare Teacher, the Parent Child Lead Teacher, and a support in the Nursery and Bridge programs. Brigitte still works and collaborates artistically with adults with disabilities at DreamStreet Theatre Company, based in Brooklyn, New York. We feel so fortunate to have Brigitte and her daughter join WSP!
Jen Widich is our new Front Office and Family Communication Manager. She comes to us with thirteen years of teaching experience followed most recently by two years as the Director of Brightside Academy in McKees Rocks. Jen has had the meaningful experience of teaching Kindergarten and English to children while living in Okinawa, Japan for three and a half years. She brings a warm, steady presence and deep commitment to the teamwork required for a well-run school. We are excited for you to meet Jen and her four children who will also be attending WSP this year!
