Welcome back for the 2024–25 school year!

We are thrilled to welcome 236 children to our campus this year in programs from Morning Garden through Grade 8. We are nearing our highest enrollment prior to the pandemic at 245 in 2019–2020. While some children are still easing into the rhythm of the day, others seem to be settling right in! We maintain a predictable schedule held within a nurturing school community that strives to help all students feel a sense of belonging where they can stretch and grow to be their full selves.

In the morning on August 21st, the Faculty, Administration, and Board gathered for a facilitated workshop to begin our year together. We were asked by our consultant from Design Group International, “What do you love about WSP?” Employees shared how welcoming and supportive it feels here. They said they appreciated the humor and playfulness in our work together, and the transparency and honesty their colleagues have with one another along with their shared strong work ethic. Honoring who children are and witnessing how mature and respectful students are was also something that was highlighted. Our human centered educational approach and its ability to heal was noted. The list went on, but this gives you an idea of what was spoken about and what you probably already sense about the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh.

Our Back-to-School Night is Tuesday, September 10 from 6–7 pm where you will be able to connect with other WSP families and receive important information. During this time, we would also like to ask you to share with us, What do you love about WSP? This will help us in our work together this year.

Looking forward to seeing each of you and wishing you a great school year!

Kirsten Christopherson-Clark

Head of School
