Scenes from the Week: 02/14–02/18

Families Trees created by Grade 3 and a sampling of books inside the classroom honoring Black History Month.




 

Grade 1 Russian class with Ms. Porfinenko. Waldorf schools offer two world languages starting in first grade. This is a fundamental part of the Waldorf curriculum aimed at helping to develop flexibility of thinking and feeling necessary for truly empathetic communication.


Beeswax hearts and moons decorate a First Grade classroom window in the spirit of Valentine's Day, made especially for people the children are holding in their hearts.




 

Grade 3 climbs the staircase as they return to their classroom following Eurythmy class with Helena Syrovatkova.


 

Did you know 5th Grade has a class pet named Pebbles?


 

This week, 5th Grade shifted its studies to ancient cultures beginning with a look at Mesopotamia.



 

Grade 6 Spanish class with Señora Garcés.


 

To wish the other classes a good break, Grade 6 made signs for each grade.
