May Fair 2023: Accepting Seedling Donations for 8th Grade Plant Sale

We are looking forward to celebrating May Fair with the WSP Community on Saturday, May 6, 2023. More information about this celebration of community, the arts and spring will be shared in next week’s announcements.

In the meantime, please read a special message (including some haikus) from our 8th grade class who is preparing a plant sale as part of this annual springtime event!

Dear WSP Community,

We are having a fantastic year in the 8th grade, and we look forward to having one last hurrah together on our upcoming trip. We will participate in the tradition of going on a week-long trip which will include elements of service, history, fun and saying "see you later!" We will start in Southeastern PA for our trail building experience in the Laurel Highlands, continuing to Gettysburg for historical tours and exploration. We will end our time together at Rehoboth Beach, celebrating the final moments of our year. In order to support this plant sale fundraiser, we are asking for donations of seedlings to sell at May Fair to help fund this trip.

If you have plants started at home that you would be willing to donate, we would really appreciate it! You can email our teacher, Ms. Illar, at aillar@waldorfpittsburgh.org if you have donations you can make.
