Guest Teaching Artist Baba Akin Lowman Visits Grade 4

Grade 4 is visited by guest teaching artist Baba Akin Lowman to bring the Lukumi Orisha tradition the class. Since he was a child, he has been studying the music and dance of the Yoruba people. The songs, dances and stories that he shared with the students , originally come from Nigeria, West Africa. This culture has been passed down for centuries and survived the trans Atlantic slave trade.
