Grade 4 Animal Projects
Students in Grade 4 completed their animal projects. This project is a 4th grade rite of passage in Waldorf education and gives students a glimpse of what their 8th grade research project will entail. Each student selects an animal, reads multiple books about the animal, writes a report on the animal, and creates a diorama expressing the animal's habitat and form. Through this process, students learn to take notes and turn those notes into a narrative. They also present to their classmates and hold an "open house" where students from the school, as well as the class parents, visit to view the work and ask questions about the project.
