Elementary Summer Camp 2025

Elementary Camp is a time for community, friendships, time in nature, and purposeful activities. We will be visited by our Friends at Assemble, who worked with us over the Fall in our first ever Maker’s club with Assemble. Pittsburgh Glass Center will also be making an appearance, making sure your children bring home a remarkable piece of art, and get to know our local organizations. Mrs. Laura Phillips will also join us once more to guide us in creating a wet felted masterpiece. Elementary camp is staffed by trained and experienced teachers, who are eager to give your children an incredible summer experience. Grades Camp will be led by our very own Teacher Robin and Ms. Tamsin from Extended Care. Both Arts Educators themselves, there is no one better to foster creativity during our time in camp. 

Our Elementary Camp is for children who completed grades 1–5 during the 2024–25 school year.

Dates/Themes

• June 16–20: Week 1 will be “What Can I Make?” This week we will enjoy visits from the PGH Glass Center, who will show us how to make mosaics that we can bring home. Assemble will join us too, working with us to create a memorable work of art that we can be proud of. We will use our heads, hands, and hearts all week, making sure we finish strong and accomplished. 

• June 23–27: Week 2 will be “Gardening and Purposeful Work,” where we will make our own garden boxes that we fill with seeds and plants throughout the week. In addition, we’ll work with WSP’s Dye garden, tending to it and refreshing it with new and lively plants. This was a garden started last year in Summer Camp with the Help of Mrs. Sarah Louise. We will also be visited by Assemble this week, ensuring our creativity doesn’t stop flowing!

Session Options

• Elementary programming will offer a full day option only from 8am–3pm.

• Parents can choose to enroll for just one week or both.

Meals

Morning snack will be provided and lunch will need to be brought.

Pricing

• $350 for Grades Week 1 full-day 8am–3pm (4 days; no camp on Thursday, June 19th)

• $400 for Grades Week 2 full-day 8am–3pm (5 days)
