Winter Fair is upon us, and Mother Nature has been kind enough to bless us with a light dusting of snow to really set the mood. There will be lots festivities to last the whole day through including horse and carriage rides, kids crafts for all ages, a taffy pull, marionette shows, storytelling, and live performances from the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh Grades children, Jesse Landis-Eigsti, and the Panther Hollow String Band.
The Winter Fair will also be a great place to start some holiday shopping. The Forest Garden and Angel’s Corner will be open from 11:00 am-4:00 pm for shopping, and Silent Auctions for the school and the Third Grade Farm Trip will run from 11:00 am-3:00 pm.
And don’t forget the comforting smell and taste of home-cooked food and bake goods. The 1867 Tea Room will be open all day, serving handmade baked goodies donated by the families in the school community, and a warming lunch featuring savory soups made by the school’s resident chefs will be served from 12:00-3:00 pm.
Come celebrate the beauty of winter in Victorian style at the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh Annual Winter Fair, this Saturday, December 4th, from 11:00 am-4:00 pm. Admission is $8.00 per person, $32.00 per family—children under 2 are free. This event is open to the public, so please, bring your friends and family. There are parking variances on Coral, S.
