The Shoebox Tour is back!

The Shoebox Tour will return to the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh on Saturday, May 12th for the third year! A juggling workshop is a new addition this year to the all ages, family-friendly performance and school fundraiser – half of the performance proceeds benefit the school.

A Juggling workshop is to be held from 3:00-4:30 in the Auditorium and is limited to 16 people, ages 9 and up at $15 per person. Participants are encouraged to bring their own juggling balls or tennis balls (some balls will be available to use).

The Shoebox Tour performance at 6:00pm will be $10 per adult, $5 for children 12 and under, and children 2 and under are free.

The Shoebox Tour America 2012 performance will be approximately 60 minutes and features jugglers Wes Peden and Jay Gilligan with live original soundtrack by Erik Nilsson.

While the jugglers have American roots, both currently live in Stockholm. Jay has performed in 26 different countries and is the head teacher of juggling at the Swedish National Circus School. Wes has been voted the best juggler in the world for three years by the online juggling community. Erik, born and raised in Sweden, is a classically trained percussionist who has toured Robyn, Dido, Coldplay, and also performed at the Royal Wedding of the Princess of Sweden in 2010.The name “Shoebox Tour” refers to smaller size venues visited in locations straying off the beaten path, with an endeavor to share contemporary juggling.
