Thank You Miss Barbara

The faculty and staff of the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh wish to extend our most heartfelt gratitude to Miss Barbara Grance, who has announced that she will retire from teaching at the end of this school year.

Miss Barbara has been an active part of our school community since 1993, when her son attended WSP as a student in the very first Kindergarten.  Since then, she has served our community in many capacities, including working in the front office, assisting in Nursery, mentoring new teachers, and acting as Early Childhood Faculty Chair.  In 1996, Miss Barbara began working in a playgroup that would grow into our Morning Garden Parent/Child Program.  Miss Barbara  has been acting as Lead Teacher and Coordinator of this program for many years now, and under her care and guidance it has grown and flourished to include a Parent/Toddler Class, a Parent/Infant Class, and a Transitional Class.

As we look around the school, from Nursery through 8th Grade, we see the faces of many children who began their WSP journey in her loving care in the Morning Garden Program.  Please join us in thanking Miss Barbara for her years of dedication and service, and for providing so many families with such a beautiful entry into our school community.
