Library Gift Book Program

The Waldorf School of Pittsburgh Library and Literacy Committee members are introducing the Gift Book Program beginning September 1, 2016. The program provides the library with valuable support by expanding the library collection while commemorating the students’ birthdays and other special events. Gifts may be made at any time throughout the school year.

You may participate in the following ways:

  • You and your child/children may select one or more books from this list of books. Indicate a first, second, and third choice by marking 1, 2, & 3 on the list. Submit payment in the amount of $25.00 per book.
  • Make a donation toward the purchase of other books. Feel free to contact Mrs. Konefal-Shaer, Mrs. Tryc or Ms. Illar to discuss your choice.

Complete the Gift Book order form. Make checks payable to WALDORF SCHOOL OF PITTSBURGH with the word “Library” in the memo line. Send check and Gift Form to Library and Literacy Committee via the school’s front office.

A book plate will be placed in each book unless otherwise directed. When possible, your child will be the first to borrow the book from the library. Books will be scanned into the WSP library register. Gifts are acknowledged in the May issue of the WSP newsletter of each year. If you do not wish to have this information publicized, note this on the Gift Form.

Remember the Waldorf School Library when making memorial contributions and at other gift times. Teachers appreciate library books donated in their names. If you would like to make a special donation or need additional information contact us at aillar@waldorfpittsburgh.org.

We thank those parents who have generously supported the library by donating books throughout the years, and have spent volunteer hours in the library. Thank you for considering supporting the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh Gift Book Program.
