Just in time for things to get cozy and colorful in Pittsburgh, we stocked up on our art supplies, crafts material, play items and brought care products to the store.
We have new dress-up and make-believe items in from our Minnesota-based fairy fairies. Find pirate hats, rainbow headbands, wings, velvet capes and fairy dresses in our store.
Also, we are now carrying more than 25 colors of felt, we reordered colored pencils, and all colors of beeswax for crafting.
For our reading folks, we expanded our offer of Elsa Beskow books, we included more books for toddlers (including the “Winter” book by Gerda Muller) and have more winter- and christmas books shelved.
All of our Ostheimer wooden figures are now correctly marked and waiting to be picked up and played with.
Last but not at least, we added more beauty and care products, including children rubs for coughing kids, loose teas and products for pregnant and nursing mothers from a local urban farm in Garfield (all natural and organic ingredients). For our girls, we have now girls face wash from Good For You Girls.
We are welcoming Julika Lomas, parent of a Little Friend and Jeanne Truschel, as new volunteers at the store. Julika is also the contact for any community members, who want to consign in the store. You will see their happy and busy faces more often at the store this fall & winter.
