Facilities Manager Position

The Waldorf School Pittsburgh is seeking a Facilities Manager to join a collaborative administrative team. This position carries a wide range of responsibilities including directing, supervising, and coordinating maintenance activities on all physical structures as well as grounds of the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh campus. This is an administrative level position supervising, coordinating and completing daily maintenance activities, including technical guidance to faculty, staff, and volunteer workers. This position ensures the service and maintenance of the school’s physical plant and the safe and efficient operation of all equipment utilized for building activities. This salaried position is hired by, and reports to, the Head of School.

The ideal candidate has the ability to manage several projects at once, ability to manage priorities with minimal supervision, the flexibility and willingness to work beyond scheduled hours as necessary, and an openness to Waldorf Education and its principles. The ability to work well with a wide range of people, and to communicate with strong verbal and written communication skills is critical.
