Catalog Promotion

Nova Natural has toys chosen to encourage children’s creativity and spirit. Ostheimer is a German company specializing in handmade wooden toys. Paper, Scissors, Stone has many of the creative, artistic items that children use in the classroom such as paints, paper, crayons and beeswax.

By ordering through the Store during this promotion, your shipping and sales tax will be paid for by the Store. This means a discount of more than 10% discount on your orders.  You also will be supporting the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh.  Items will arrive in time for the Holidays.

– Payment is due at time of order.

During extreme weather conditions and power outages the school might be closed or delayed. Tune into local TV, radio stations and websites: WPXI, KDKA, or WTAE, or check http://waldorfpittsburgh.org/ for announcements. Please remember the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh determines cancellations and delays separate from Pittsburgh Public Schools. However, your child’s bus will follow the city school cancellations and delays.

School delays apply to the entire school. In the event of a two hour delay, the Nursery and Kindergarten will begin at 10:15am with the rest of the school. Please be aware that we are not prepared to receive your child at school before 10:00am (two hours from the 8:00 time we receive them on a regular school day) if the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh has called a two hour delay. Please give your children a snack or late breakfast before they come to school. Grade students do not need to bring a morning snack on delay days. Our lunch and afternoon schedule will remain the same. Children who normally ride the bus will have bus service home in the afternoon.

If the school has a two hour delay, Morning Garden will begin at 10 am, inside. If the school is closed, then Morning Garden is not in session.

Little Friends:
Even if the school has a two hour delay, Little Friends will still start at 8:00 am. If the school is closed, then Little Friends is closed.

Little Friends parents should disregard “School is delayed” signs on the doors.
