This weekend, 8am – 6pm Saturday and Sunday, is Beautification Weekend here at the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh. It is a very special event that happens at the beginning of each school year and brings together the entire community (families, friends, staff, faculty, and administration) to work on cleaning, preparing, and organizing the school and grounds for the upcoming school year. We count on everyone’s help to get the school ready and are hoping for a grand turn-out! Much more than just cleaning, it is a time to come together and meet with one another before classes begin. For new families, it is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and meet other people involved with the school.
To make this year’s Beautification Weekend special, there will be lunch, music, and free childcare available to all families. Childcare is offered for children ages 18 months – 5 years old. Childcare is available from 8am – 12pm, and each child can be enrolled for a maximum of 2 hours each day.. If interested in childcare, please R.S.V.P. to email@example.com by 2pm tomorrow afternoon (Friday, August 23). With your R.S.V.P., please provide an emergency contact cell phone number, the hours you plan to attend, and any health or allergy concerns childcare providers should be aware of. Due to space limitations, there is no drop off care available on Saturday or Sunday, and we will be unable to provide childcare for families who have not made advance arrangements for care.

Please also look forward to important back to school information in a special Back to School Newsletter on August 31.
We thank you for sharing this weekend with us to improve or school and strengthen our community.
