Beautification Weekend, 8/25 and 8/26

The weekend of August 25th and 26th, from 8am to 6pm, is Beautification Weekend here at the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh. It is a weekend where families, staff, and faculty come together to make our school and grounds beautiful and prepared for the upcoming school year. As we expand and grow, this weekend helps to nurtures our  spirit of volunteerism and community and is essential to the successful operation of our school. In addition to all of that, it is simply a wonderful way to get together and welcome new families before the school year begins!

Cleaning, organizing, and setting up classrooms and other preparations are our focus for this year. Faculty and staff will be on hand from 8:00 am until 6:00pm both Saturday and Sunday, and we welcome any and all help.  Please stop by for whatever time you can spare, be it for an hour or for all day.

This year we are offering some wonderful changes to Beautification Weekend by providing lunch both days, free childcare from 8-12 both days(with R.S.V.P.),  and musical entertainment. Childcare is available for children ages 18 months – 5 years for up to two hours each day. Please RSVP to the Front  Office (  or 412-441-5792 x.0) with your emergency contact information, number and names of children, times you plan to use childcare, and any allergy information. Because childcare will be provided outside in the play yard, we ask that parents have a cell phone to be contacted in case children need escorted inside, etc. Please be sure to RSVP as we are unable to provide drop-in childcare. Any questions are welcome at the Front Office.
