The school is currently looking for members for a newly-forming Buildings and Grounds Committee. While the volunteers who attend monthly Facility Doings and help with hands-on projects do a great job of fulfilling that need, the new Buildings and Grounds Committee will work with the school’s Facilities Manager to focus on the planning and policy facets of maintaining and operating the facility. Architects, engineers, or anyone with a vision for how the building can be utilized and maintained is encouraged to get involved with this new committee. An inaugural meeting is planned for Tuesday, September 13, at 6:00pm in the library. We will talk about the goals for the committee and plan a top-to-bottom, roof-to-boiler-rooms (there are three!) tour of the building to see its construction and maintenance challenges.
