Baked Potato Potluck & Halloween Parade

Come celebrate the season!

Join the Parent Association on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 for the Baked Potato Potluck in the school’s auditorium, followed by the Bloomfield Halloween Parade on Liberty Avenue.

Warm up from the crisp fall weather with a hot potato and the warm company of friends by joining us from 5-6:30 pm for the Baked Potato Potluck. All families are welcome and encouraged to attend! Halloween costumes encouraged.

Please bring something to share! Organic potatoes, butter, sour cream, Earth Balance, salt, and pepper will be provided. By your child’s last name, please bring:

  • A-F: Side dish
  • G-K: Beverages
  • L-R: Dessert
  • S-Z: Your favorite potato topping (examples:chives, broccoli, bacon, salsa, chili, cheese, scallions, corn…)

Please RSVP your likely attendance to pa@waldorfpittsburgh.org by Friday, Oct. 19 so that enough potatoes are prepared.

The Baked Potato Potluck is co-sponsored by the WSP Parent Association, Enrollment and Development Committees.

A special thank you to the East End Food Co-op for generously donating organic baked potatoes, butter, Earth Balance and sour cream for the potluck.

Bloomfield Civic Council’s Annual Halloween Parade
After the Baked Potato Potluck, please join the school (in costume) to march in the Bloomfield Family Night Halloween Parade. From 6:45-7:15 pm, Waldorf families can assemble on the NE corner of Winebiddle and Liberty Avenue (across Winebiddle from Shadyside Honda). The parade line up begins at 7:15 pm, and at 7:30 pm, the parade marches down Liberty Avenue to the Bloomfield Bridge. School groups will be near the front of the parade so that the children can watch the rest of the parade after they have completed the route.

Please remember to wear costumes that reflect our school’s values (no excessively gory, violent, or media-inspired characters).

If you have questions or would like more information about these events (or if you are interested in having a great time volunteering for the potluck!) call Rebecca Farabaugh at 215-990-7334, or email rebecca@principledpen.com.
