After School Clubs Information

Dear parents,

In Fall, the dates were set for winter clubs. There are a few changes but many clubs are going to remain the same. I know there are some who would still like to sign up so this will serve as an update and reminder. I will attach the club registration form to this email. If you are near the school, stop by for a registration form on the table next to the library. Feel free to respond to this email with questions regarding clubs. They do not start for two more weeks so it is not too late to sign up. Please use this registration form and this permission form to register for clubs.  Contact for more information.

Chess is now a part of the games class curriculum. It was meant to take the place of chess club, however several students and parents are inquiring about the club. We will hold chess club again this year based on demand.

Winter Eurythmy club will not be held this year. I apologize for the late notice. The students will enjoy eurythmy as part of the school curriculum.

Wednesdays we will hold interscholastic reading club. This is for any student grade 4-6 that would like to read books, eat snacks, socialize and discuss the books. Please, do not let your child be intimidated by the “competition” aspect. The April 10th gathering is an exciting time of sharing and reviewing fun events that the students read about in books.Parents are welcome to come. It is all about getting together to read and enjoy each other’s company! Any reading level is welcome. I already have every book on the list in my office ready to lend to students. Dates: Jan 29th, Feb 5th, Feb 12th, Feb 26th, March 5, March 12. Although we will not hold the club on Wednesdays leading up to the April 10th Competition (because of Girls on the Run starting) we will still touch base during school to monitor progress. We will have an official practice on Tuesday, April 8th to prepare for the April 10th interscholastic event. I may hold a meeting on a Friday afternoon sometime in Late March to touch base about reading club. This club is a great way to help your child read more books in a relaxed environment.
