Come and learn lazuring, the painting technique used on the walls of the classrooms here at the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh. This technique utilizes wide brush strokes of very thin pigmented glaze over a flat, white base to achieve beautiful layers of color and depth. The workshop, to be held at the school, will be led by local artist and Waldorf parent Julie Stunden and will be held Saturday, July 11. The project area will be the walls of the first floor front entrance hall, so not only will you learn the technique from an expert, the school will benefit with beautifully lazured walls! Price of the workshop is $30 and is open to everyone. Please contact Brendan Froeschl at 412-441-5792 x 228 or bfroeschl@waldorfpittsburgh.org to register. Childcare may be made available (for an minimal additional cost) depending on the amount of requests.
